Jessica Norup makes a triumphant return! Jessica spent the years 2010 - 2012 both studying and teaching (as a student teacher) at Caloundra Music Academy. In 2013 Jess moved to Brisbane to start on her music degree at the University of queensland St. Lucia. Her list of Achievements University of Queensland Bachelor of Music (Honours) Majoring in Flute Performance AWA R D S 2016 JAMES CARSON MEMORIAL PRIZE FINALIST 2016 DONALD DUGBY WIND AND PRIZE PERFORFORMANCE PRIZE FINALIST Scholarship for advanced flute players presented in memory of the Queensland Flute Guild's founder, James Carson. Scholarship donated by Donald Tugby for the University of Queensland's highest achieving wind or brass performer. P E R F O R M I N G E X P E R I E N C E Jessica has been performing on stage for the Academy with both piano and flute since age 13. A perfectionist with a passion and attention to detail. Her resume' states: "During 2016 I was principal flute of the University of Queensland Symphony Orchestra. I have also performed with both the Queensland Youth Symphony Orchestra and The Queensland Youth Wind Symphony. In addition to orchestral performing, I have also gained experience in chamber music playing throughout my time at university. I have performed in wind quintets, wind quartets, piano trios, and various duos. In these chamber ensembles I have also had the experience of working with composers to create new works, and this is something I hope to be able to do a lot more of in the future" Jessica has been involved in theatre orchestral groups as well.
